The distance between inlet/outlet on GPU waterblocks

Jedicake

Does it vary by BRAND names of waterblocks? I'll see if I can put together some edited pictures to explain it better

I currently have an EK waterblock on a Galaxy card. If I get a EVGA card, but another EK waterblock for the EVGA card, is it safe to assume the SLI fitting will fit just fine since all of EK's blocks have same distance between the holes?

If you get the same block. Different blocks may not work.

only variation is using different brand waterblocks.

the EVGA using swiftech "komodo" version will be an issue for tube routing not performance.

mmm mixing reference 780 to a classified 780 is not the best plan. not all reference

GPU can take a classified BIOS hack and run well. either use all reference or

classified cards with corresponding waterblocks.

Doesn't the classified 780 also have a different size PCB? so wouldn't the inlet/outlet on the waterblock be higher?

buy another reference 780, there are dropping in used pricing quickly. $250-$300. and

$300 is too high as the GTX 970 is almost a twin and sells for $350 new. warranty on

MSI, giggy and EVGA is serial based, so you have 1.5-2 years, possibly.

Yea been looking around for weeks now, and no luck, so difficult to find (at a reasonable price)  (I bought my first one for a great $500 with waterblock)

Alright, thanks much, friend. I'll search around

Anyone know of any other pretty active Marketplace Forums besides here, Overclockers and Hardforum?

give it a bit, since the 970/980 dropped and the reviews are just getting to the viewers.

the PCB is wider and different and could pose issues.

yes they do if it is legitimate deception. both eBay and Paypal. i'd paid $1200 for

a system and it was nowhere represented and i had launched a problem through

the resolution center and the seller paid for return postage and i got 100% of my

money back. so yeah, i like the system. others may have different opinions.

$150 PSU (seller reimbursement), $600 GTX 580 hydro copper (res center) and

other small items that just were crap or not represented properly, even if questions

were asked/answered to move the transaction forward.
