so there a fire near were i live and its sort of comeing my way 

its called the kings fire

at the time im writing this it is at 30,000 acre and 5% Contained 

about five hours ago it was at 20,000

 

its pritty scary alot of my friends have been evacuated 

 

a side note whats dumb about this the fact that school is still going on

id be scared out of my mind, the worst ive had to endure was hurricane irene and hurricane sandy <---- sandy was actually quite horrible. but never fire :c best of luck to you guys, stay safe.

Being at school isn't dumb, school is safer than fleeing though smokey roads. Usually when towns are cut off by bushfires they gather everyone in one place so the fire fighters have one building/oval to defend.

alright so im going go towards the fire that make alot of sense instead packing up and leaving

In 2009 there were huge bushfires in my state:

11 people died trying to flee the fires, they drove on roads that were covered in smoke, blinding them and choking them to death, most of the rest tried to defend their homes without support from fire crews. 

 

People in cut off towns like Kinglake grouped on the town football field and were saved.

 

You aren't going 'towards the fire', you're staying put in an easily defendable position. Is the school in a forrest? Or are there open gounds like grassy/concrete areas? Also do you even know which way the wind is going? The fires spreads in teh general direction of the wind.

 

From the Rural Fire Service (NSW): "Leaving late places you at the greatest risk of being caught".
