21:9 gaming?

Hey everyone, I am looking into getting new monitor(s) since I have two old monitors that are different, I am looking at either getting a 21:9 UltraWide or three 1080p monitors. And what I want to know is, is 21:9 gaming good/supported? Or would it be better to get three monitors? I would like just the one 21:9 monitor just to save desk space/money.
