Hello,

Two years ago I bought my first laptop, this was meant to do schoolwork. Games I played on my xbox360, but I more and more i became a PC Gamer. So after playing on my laptop with no great graphicscard and for sure no good cooling. I want to build my first PC, and that's what I need your knowlege for.

What do you want to do with your new PC?

Mainly playing games, but i also want to do a bit of video editing.

Last but not least, budget?

Around 1350 dollars, that is 1100 euro because I'm living in Europe.

Are there any parts that you already have?

No, I want to have a nice fresh system :).

Hi, you dont need i7 4790k for a bit of video editing. Get i5 4690k and throw the money you save on better GPU like R9 290 or GTX 780. (GTX 770 4GB is waste of money.. if you are going for 770 get cheaper 2GB version).

Also get Z97 Motherboard and 8GB DDR3 (at least 1600MHz) RAM (you are missing RAM in your build)

So I looked for gtx 780 but they are just a bit above my budget, but I think it's probably better to wait for the announce for 900 serie. Or I buy one of the 900 or buy one of the 700 because there price droped then. Am I right?

I'll update the main post any minute :)

I really love the community, within a couple minutes my questions are answered. I didn't think it was so fast :)

So thanks all of you :)

I've made some changes according the new 900 serie, that just hit the sweet spot :D.

So I've decided to take an i7-4790K and an gtx980. But is my 500W powersupply strong enough  for some overclocking and maybe later an sli mode?

If not what psu do you require, I was thinking about the 600W version.

Let me know what you guys think about it, and thanks for al the help!

Gigabyte Z97-D3H.

Btw, changed to this motherboard.

Edit: Tomorow I'll be buying everything except the videocard, have to wait till payday :)
