What are your guys thoughts on the LG G3 now that it has been out for a while?

Verendus

My birthday is approaching and I've decided to get a new phone. Right now my top 2 contenders are the HTC One M8 and the LG G3; my dad has the M8 and loves it, but after a bunch of research I've started to lean towards the G3 more now. What are your guys' opinions on the two phones?

PS: I know the One Plus One exists and the S5 as well, but for my tastes the two mentioned earlier fit my taste more, plus the One Plus One is hard to get from what I know.

I would go for the htc but is just my personal taste. In terms of performance they are almost the same lg just got a better camera.

Beware of him that is slow to anger; for when it is long coming, it is the stronger when it comes, and the longer kept. Abused patience turns to fury.

Do you plan on eating this phone? I don't think it would "taste" very nice. :P

Okay, just messing with ya! :D

If you like the LG G3 more then go with that. However, if I were to go for an Android-based phone my preference would be for the HTC One M8 just because of the metal construction. :)

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.

is 5.5 vs 5.0 the resolution need to be bigger so your argument is invalid

Resolution doesnt have to be bigger and I agree with CCap, the G3 also has 3Gb of ram. The Note 3 only has a 1080p screen and is 5.7in.

I'd go with the G3. Both my roommates have them and they're excellent phones, and not nearly as annoying to carry as I would have thought.

It's also smaller than the M8, with a much larger screen.

I had my G3 for a good month now and I don't regret it one bit. It's a very good phone for what you get out of it. However I'm not saying the M8 is bad in comparison. The M8 is still a great phone, considering its build quality and Boomsound speakers (tried the speakers myself, and was tons better than the G3's tiny back speaker). It's just down to what you like more.
