Suggest a graphics card.

kruz
Go to solution Solved by kruz,

they are both very similar in performance but the hd 7790 is a bit faster(5%).

OK david so I am going for MSI 7790 or Asus which ever is available in the market. :) Thanks for your prompt reply.

Hello all,

I am from INDIA. I have purchased a AMD fx8350 and GA990fxa UD3 mobo. Need to know which GPU should go with this. No planning on crossfire as of now.... but would plan too in near future. Corsair GS 800 is the PSU.

I was thinking about the MSI power Editiion 7770/OC or Powercolor AX7770. Not beyond this as prices in India are still sky rocketed.

The MSI 7770 PE is a very good choice, if you use the full potential and overclock it as hell then.. Otherwise i would tell you to take a look at the GTX 650Ti boost series which fits in that price bracket

Go for a brand that you trust, or for better compatibility go for a brand that your board is.

In your case i would go for MSI or Gigabyte, perhaps even eVGA as i have had only good experience with them.

But as said in the post above mine 650 Ti Boost is a good choice aswell.

But 7770 is a card approved by Linus for low end gaming rigs :D

An hd 7770 is a very good card . But as the others said, If you could afford getting a gtx 650 ti boost then you would get 40-50% more performance

Maybe look if you can get a used one? I did that too, and saved 60€ on a GTX 660Ti..

I am planning to buy 650 ti, here in INDIA no site mentions it as ti boost. So my question was is ti different then ti boost? Also which vendor shall I opt for GTX 650.

How about HD7790? How much is the price there in India?

HD7790 competes directly with GTX650Ti and should be a tad cheaper.

Thats a little bit overpriced.. but which version are you looking at? e.g HD 7790 from Asus or from which brand? try to get either a MSI one or a Asus one..

This is the model.

So the above mentioned card comes for mostly 180USD from actual market.

The GTX 650ti u suggested comes for the same price as well.

Now which way to opt for ...

the gtx 650 ti boost is 25-30% faster than the gtx 650 ti non boost.
