Which CPU for 7950?

Go to solution Solved by boggle4321,

if you can afford it go with the 8320, its a better overclocker, but the 6300 is a decent cpu as well, wont bottleneck 7950 too much

I was going to get a FX-6300 with a 7870 but then I bought a 7950 very cheap. I would still like a AMD CPU because I want crossfire and Intel mobos are expensive if you want to upgrade to crossfire.

Will a 6300 be enough or should I go for something like a 8320

Thank You

Yeah, the FX 6300 is good. But as always, if you could afford something better, go for it.

Good enough.

Pretty much what everyone else is saying, the fx6300 is a great cpu but if you can afford the fx8320 then it is better to go with it.

If you go with the 8320 let me know how it goes, I need something for my AMD build that I'm planning at the moment.

My friend was going to go for a 6300, however he ended up purchasing an 8320. He loves it! Very similar performance in games to an i5!

See my Build here!

As most people have said go for the  8320, or if you really cant afford it the 6350 is a good alternative.
