Looking to get a new desk. Suggestions?

I had the realspace magellan desk but I didn't like it so I gave it to my sister,

I was looking into the Ikea Galant series but I dont know.

What's your favorite desk?

closest one to me is half an hour to go there, or go to there and do home delivery, i'm not sure if they will deliver to places that takes 6 hours to drive there

I like the build your own desks from Ikea. I have a red top with the grey legs. Matches my apartment perfectly, and I can add another portion later on when I need to extend it to hold a desktop/printer/external hard drive array.

But you do realize how ridiculous it sounds to drive somewhere, that far, to set up home delivery right? You might as well pick it up while you're there.

if the person's car wasn't big enough to pick up furniture then the person would do home delivery or just rent a truck instead and pick it up

Well I have a suburban but I can't afford to get down there right now haha otherwise I totally would

Delivery is $100+. I imagine even more if they're going to travel 6 hours; that's two people, and the truck's gas, insurance, etc for one delivery. You'd have to charge $200 just to break even.

Renting a pick up would probably be $60.

Just calculated shipping on a desk from Ikea and it was $350

Yup. Anything that size, going that distance is going to be expensive.

Just save up for the couple hundred in gas
