The thing is, consoles don't suck for their intended purpose: playing games. The whole #PCMasterRace thing is stupid, it marks you as someone who actually cares enough about how people play their games to the point where they're willing to call people who care more about the game than the FPS peasants. Just PTFO and stop caring about your FPS; be glad that it's smooth and move on. The best games transcend the quality of the machines they are played on.

 

Call me ignorant and self centered. What someone on the other side of the internet says about me couldn't hurt me less than it does right now.

 

There isn't a way. Play Valve games.

 

I honestly don't care what you do. I just can't understand spending extra on a PC just for playing games.

I don't really have the time to deal with this bullshit at the moment. I have a PS4 and a Xbox 360 which my fiance uses...I never touch them. Does it mean I hate them? No. Obviously I don't cause why would have I bought a PS4? Just to stare at it? No...my preference is pc. End of discussion. @Whiskers can we get this thread locked? I have an xbox and a playstation, I use them to play games from time to time, but not nearly as much as my PC. Because it's my preference. Anyways, I get way more immersed in a game on my PC then I do on my consoles.

Anyways back on topic:

 

Wine is a Linux program that can run games by runnning windows within a window on Linux's Desktop. Alternatively you can run Windows as a Virtual Machine within any operating system...you can also do the vice versa as well.

 

And there are a few more options here. Hope this helps some.

You can't logically compare The Witcher 2 on pc vs console and say the pc version isn't objectively superior, it's still a good game on Xbox, but also an undeniably lesser experience.

A lot of people would consider it simpler to plug a console into your TV and have it in your living room than to do the same with a PC. PCs are primarily for computing, consoles are for gaming. If you're going to be primarily gaming then a gaming PC is a waste of money. You have a whole OS's worth of technology that you don't need. Consoles are good enough for the overwhelming majority of people.
