The trailer for the new Age of Empires Game is out. It is called Age of Empires: Castle Siege, and it will be available in September 2014, on Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 Store.

albeit i never played this series i know a lot of people that will be pissed about this being windows 8 only, and mobile focused

I was a volunteer dev for AoFE and have been a stalwart fan of AoE from the beginning. But I disavow anything that's not AoE:1, AoE:2, AoM, and AoE3. Those are the only ones I recognize, and until they realize that AoE is a real RTS game that had it's own look and feel (longer, more in depth games than starcraft but not rediculous in either aspect like Med:TW or Civ.)

My thoughts exactly... as a huge fan of the original games this trailer made me very sad. It looks terrible.

This looks like a mobile game and way worse than the original imo.

 

I know its on windows phone too but i would of expected the windows 8 version to actually be a PC version and not look like a gt640 could max it out.

I really liked the AOE games, what a shame :(

so age of empires Online died to be replaced by this POS!? yeah, but no thanks microsoft! now i'm 100% happy for the complete removal of windows on my PC in favour of Ubuntu, Arch and Kali

One day I will be able to play Monster Hunter Frontier in French/Italian/English on my PC, it's just a matter of time... 4 5 6 7 8 9 years later: It's finally coming!!!

me myself loves age of empires but i personally think the new upcomming AOE is a BIG joke and is going to be a total faillure. (i'm not the only one, look at that like:dislike ratio xD )
