However:

My build is very specific to what I need it to do...in every way possible it is probably the least money friendly way to go.

If you've previously won the build off please pm me so we can get something worked out.

Hi guys. If given a 5000 dollar budget, what pc build would you go for?

Well to be honest I'd build a $3,000 rig and put the left over $2,000 towards a life goal...seriously. ;)

I'll get back to you with the PC build. :D

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.

I think he's just asking that if you had a budget of this size, what would you build.

Converted to PhP that's about 250k...

Here we go:

Used Alto RS (~150k)

the rest goes to a bunch of APU-based systems to use as a business starting point...

I probably would try some watercooling, but probably not.

Right now, I would get 2 780(TIs maybe)s, and x99/16GB of DDR4.

I have no idea why people are suggesting you to buy 10tb+ hdd and Shitty yous, rams, mobos.

No one is suggesting anything for him, the question was "what would you do with a $5000 budget." That guy just likes storage.
