if you are new to mechanicals look up  and research the various key types and switches they are not all built the same i use Cherry mx reds which require no force at all to press and can be quite silent or you could get cherry mx blacks/blues which are noiser and take a little bit more force etc

Ducky keyboards are popular but is out of the price range, and really tough to find. They are great keyboards if the extra price can be justified, and you can find one find one.

$100 really isn't enough for a mechanical. Sure there is the Quickfire keyboards. But they are running out of stock and the prices are climbing rapidly  with most retailers like Amazon. Newegg is out of stock, and the CM Store doesn't sell them anymore. (except greens)

There is a reason they are running out of stock :P. They are fantastic keyboards for a good price (not $140). Guess I'm lucky to have gotten one with MX Browns/Red LED for €95 :P

They are supposedly restocking mid September. If this is false, we could be waiting 3+ months for a restock.
