Hey guys! I am doing a one-week project to build the best FPS I can! Why? Because it's fun! That and it gives me obligation to actually get something done rather than drag it out forever.

I could make this topic much more flashy but I'm pretty bad at that so first things first!

All of these updates will be in video format to show a better representation of the changes to the games as time goes on!

If you have any questions PM me rather than replying.

So first things first Day One! Or Update 1 whatever you wanna call it.:

So the first update is a small one, all I have added into the game is basic movement and camera controls. The area in which the game partakes in is lackluster but is only meant for testing. I also changed a lot of the editor settings as well as having the games API set to DirectX11 instead of 9. Tomorrows update will be more about the shooter aspects of the game such as guns. Well if I can get around to the actual firing of the gun that is.

Day 2 or Update 2... Eventually I'll decide on one or the Other.

So for todays update it was rather small. I didn't really have all that much time to do anything today with the game and so what I have done was rather rushed. It's kind of buggy but tomorrow I'll crackdown on those bugs and iron them out. All I basically did was add a gun that follows the camera movement, added ADS and added the ability to fire. Though the raycasts don't properly show the bullet holes ;(

Day 3 and/ or Update 3!

Update 3 is live! Today I bring you adjustments to the gun and bullets! I fixed the bug with the raycasts not appearing. Turns out in the collider I set it to look for a tag called "Level Parts" when the tag was actually "LevelParts" such a silly mistake but live and learn. xD This is still a pretty small update and not much has changed however tomorrow I'm going to get more into movement with things like crouching and such so stay tuned!

awesome, you're doing exactly what I've wanted to do for quite a while.

I however, suck at this, lol.

Practice makes perfect xD it's over-whelming at first but after doing a lot of basic programs and other things like that and really understanding the language more you can do some pretty cool stuff :D

Step one: ask Valve for CSGO source code.

Step two: run it through compiler.

Step three: profit!

In all seriousness this is a really interesting project. I would love to see the end product.

Aha I used to make mods for the original Counter-Strike quite a long time ago, not the Source engine but the Source Engine is really just a rebuilt Quake engine. And thanks! I hope you enjoy! xD
