So guys, what DPI settings do you use?

2200 normal use, 3200 in some games. Used to use 1600 for everything, but higher DPI feels pretty nice on the G502. Not sure why...

Hello reader.

Which DPI do you play on with your mouse? Does it differ depending on which game you are playing? I have a ROCCAT Kone XTD and play on 1600 DPI normally but I'm still experimenting. So I'm curious with what other people game on, I know it's being all personal preference so I'm not here to argue any case, I'm just curious :-)

Thanks for reading.

3000 DPI with the game slider minimized(so don't tell me I am crazy for having it too high). For precision(like sniping) I will bump it down to 1600 or even 800, but there are some games(CS: GO) where I kick it up to 3300 and debate about making it higher.

Seriously though, i usually play with 800dpi, and i toggle to 500dpi when playing Counter Strike.

Just like a lot of Roccat products, Kone is using a Finnish word as a naming scheme. "Kone" meaning "machine. The other products of Roccat that use Finnish words would be:

  • Savu, meaning smoke
  • Kova, meaning hard
  • Isku, meaning strike or hit
  • Arvo, meaning value
  • Apuri, meaning Helper

Other than that, Syva, Kulo and Into are probably the same, since "syvä" is "deep", "kulo" is "fire" and "into" is "passion".

On topic: I use 400, 800 or 1000 dpi depending on what game I'm playing on. 400 in FPS and older games, 800 or 1000 in newer ones.

I own and use, sorted from newest to oldest: SteelSeries 6Gv2. Microsoft SideWinder X4. Mionix Naos 7000. Zowie EC1 Evo. Microsoft SideWinder X8. Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0. Dell U2414H. Samsung P2270H. AKG K273 Pro. Sennheiser HD555. Razer Goliathus Speed Medium. Func 1030 L. Qpad CT Medium.

I used to own: Razer DeathAdder 3G. Razer Krait. IntelliMouse Optical 1.1. SteelSeries QcK.

I usually use 2800 for most of the games I play. Sometimes I raise it up to around 4000 for certain games.

I use 2000 (max for my mouse). When i get a new mouse, i don't think i'll go higher, 'cause i'm used to this.
