why my GTX 780 can't be overclocked more than 105% T_T

Aahhh.. Sorry i did't put my attention really well. Hhmmm.. Mine must be a bit lower than yours since im using a bigger resolution. But, may i ask u, will fancy motherboard give me a significant improvements? I plan to buy z97 deluxe sooner, maybe.

Nope, motherboard won't impact performance for any component whatsoever.

Give me a full list of your components please.

Also, download a program called GPU-Z and find out your ASIC score.  Have you tried adding voltage to your card when overclocking in MSI Afterburner or EVGA Precision X?

I'm using i7 4770, 8GB intel patriot RAM, Z87 msi motherboard (i forget the series), gigabyte windforce GTX 780.

I usually use gigabyte oc guru ii for overclocking my GPU.

I added the voltage about hhhmmm.. I forgot. But maybe around 104 - 106 %

That isn't adding voltage, that is adding Power Target.  You need to download MSI Afterburner 3.0.1 or newer.  Once you have done that, come back and we can OC your GPU.  Also download GPU Z.

Do you really own an i7-4770 Non (K) paired with a Z87 motherboard?

to be fair friend ^_^ is a low card

yes, i did the 150% (yey), but any DDR3 can can overpass his 150% performance   ;)

and my next 5670 GDDR5 wipe this card in performance

but then my 7850 eat all cards like popcorn   B)

but now the R9 270 is the king of kings (price & performance)

i forgot answer lol, i just got lucky :D on the manufacturing parts (that is why i love Sapphire)

but we can not compare this with the 780 you have friend (is apple and oranges lol)

also... new nvidia cards use temps for oc, and is hard do an extreme oc on they (for that)

(maybe changing the thermal paste we can something there)

yea buddy, i was a radeon boy for quite long time. my card before this GTX 780 was XFX radeon 6870 black edition. that was a beautiful card. but, since i need proper CUDA cores a lot for my work, i decided to upgrade my PC. and, here i am.

but, i agree with u, if your primary purpose is for gaming, radeon is the answer. but, radeon doesn't do any good with my working program. sad. . .

i have a Gigabyte windforce GTX 780. as far as i watch youtube videos, people can overclock it around 109% to 115%. why i can't do it on my 780?

if i do it more than 105% it keeps turning into blue screen in minutes on every game i play.

what is wrong with it?

sorry, i'm just a newbie.

if i change my mobo with fancy mobo like asus z97 deluxe or ROG series or maybe msi M-power. can i get more overclock limit?

please gimme some advice if u don't mind :)

thx everyone

Are you sure it's the GPU? In all my years, usually the graphic driver will crash and restart if an overclock is unstable.

If you're getting blue screens, try to make it happen again and write down the blue screen stop code and determine what is causing the bluescreen.

R9 3900XT | Tomahawk B550 | Ventus OC RTX 3090 | Photon 1050W | 32GB DDR4 | TUF GT501 Case | Vizio 4K 50'' HDR

You can't link me a file from your computer...

Regardless, that is a low Unigine Score, you should be closer to 1500 with a GTX 780.

You need to download GPU-Z, not CPU, G--Graphics GPU-Z.  Right click on it and select: Read ASIC Quality and tell us what that number is.

You also need to download MSI AfterBurner.

btw, this is my benchmark test on Metro Last Light

is it ok or i should go into my room and start crying like babies. hahaha

ouw.. what if i buy another 780 and put it on SLI config. but i'll make the new one as a primary GPU. is that a good solution?

How did you do that? I don't remember that scene in last light from all those camera angles

Yes, the main two GPU overclocking softwares are MSi AfterBurner and EVGA Precision X. Download MSI Afterburner as I am more familiar with it.

Uninstall your OC Guru, and lets try and overclock your 780, ASIC Score isnt the end all be all, but it is an indicator.
