If you are on a slightly tighter budget for your SSD: Crucial MX100 series

If you have a slightly bigger budget for you SSD: Samsung 840 EVO series.

As for the build:

http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/gskill-memory-f31866c9d8gab is better RAM for less money:

As for the graphics card I would go MSI. Windforce is optimized for Nvidia cards making it less suitable for AMD cards. The MSI twin Frozr is better.

GPU will stick out strangely in the system but it looks great.

Windforce works on 7xxx series cards just fine. It's only with the Hawaii cards that is has problems.

So i'm minutes from ordering this, just absolutely making sure it's all good :)

Will get an SSD at a later date too :P recommendations on which to get might be nice!

Don't get the Corsair CS, get the EVGA 750 G2

Also yeah I would get something other then Windforce, Sapphire Dual-X or Tri-X would be my choice, since Sapphire is probably the best vendor to get AMD cards from.

In the future if you want to get an SSD the new OCZ Arc 100 is pretty good for a good price

You might want to spare on the case and get a cm haf 912, there's no reason to overdo it in your case (no pun intended). Maybe with that case you can squeeze the ssd in, they are pretty cheap nowadays and moving windows later can be a bit of a pain.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

The place i'm buying from there's no MSI 280x card available. the Sapphire Dual-X is £10 more and Tri-X is £50 more :/ So what would be the benefit in getting the Dual-X over the windforce?

Sapphire makes the best coolers for AMD though if @AlwaysFSX said is correct then you are fine with the gigabyte card.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the CS series. Jonnyguru (http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=366) gave it very good marks aside from value (But back then it was more expensive so you can up the score). The CS550M is a really good PSU though I do agree, almost nothing tops the EVGA G2 series.

Well given that it's a 7970 and the Windforce coolers oh so long ago worked fine soo..dunno why they would change anything?

Over here in England that PSU is £30 more

Why did you use the canadian PCPartpicker then? Where are you buying your parts from? Amazon? Scan?

I would suggest two changes. A lower profile memory kit - also less expensive. And, a bigger and better psu.
