which build is best for 4K?

Haywalker

so my friend was planing on buying a 4k machine but i was too expensive for him so he settled for a pre-built computer that he found on the internet he narrowed his choices down to two, both are a hackintosh since he is fan of apple (dunno why i am still friends with him :P) and they are well within his price range but since i dont have any experience what so ever with 4k capable machine's or how they perform i thought id ask which or if both can handle rendering 4k videos and other 3d work.

These are the specs:

1st:

CPU: i7 4790 - 4.0GHz

RAM: 8GB DDR3 RAM Kingston HyperX Fury 1600 MHz
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti 2GB DDR5

MOBO: its an ASUS board but the seller faild to mention the model (can't figure out why?)

HDD: 1000 GB HDD Seagate Barracuda

2nd:

- Corsair h100 liquid cooled Intel i7 4930k @4.5ghz
- Asus p9x79 Pro motherboard
- 16gb Corsair 1600mhz

- 250gb Samsung 840 SSD
- Geforce 660 2gb DDR5, support for up to 4 full HD screens, or x1

PS: second one is used but i highly doubt the 660 can run 4k, up to you guy's now what do you think?

Neither. Those rigs are going to get slapped by 4K.

The 750Ti can not handle 4K on demanding titles, even at low settings.

Do not  as I  do, and  not  as I say. Instead do as you may..

I do believe both the 750Ti and GTX 660 could DISPLAY 4K, but don't expect to play games at 4K with either of those cards. I'm not sure about rendering 4K. The GTX 660 is more powerful than the 750Ti. I would chose option #2

1 one is okay but why do you have a gtx 750 ti? It would be better to replace it with a gtx 770 or higher

2 one the one i'll chose but would also replace the gpu with a gtx 770 or higher.

whats with the i7 and a mid power GPU?

oh the first one is a pre-build...

rendering 4K need a lot more CPU power

but get a better GPU for 2nd system

somewhere around 2000$ would be nice.

yeah if you simply compare both, but i doubt it will run 4k.

If either of those systems are even close to costing $2000, then you need to be shopping elsewhere.

And, even at shit settings on crap meh games, getting 4k at playable framerates will be virtually impossible.

that's what i would have done if i was building the system but as i said they are pre-built, so not much choice there.

how about a 780ti?

nope the GTX780 6GB or the R9 290 4GB

pushing 4k with single GPU is not enough anyway

3000$+ on a build that can render 4K video's? i am pretty sure a 4930K and a 780ti can do it?

4K for those builds? Lol, my ass.

well if you have read through u would have seen the part that says i am not Mr.4K expert, and the idea behind this post was to make sure that these build's actually can't run 4K. so u haven't added any thing new..but thx anyway

I'm just meaning that a 750Ti or 660 will not be able to run games at 4K... at all.
