PC vs Laptop? Gaming :)

What do you recommend to play, pc or laptop? Money for the purchase of a $1500-2000 in which the pc wants 1x monitor.Sorry if I make mistakes, but I live in Poland and not quite comprehend language

Welcome to Linus Tech Tips!

Well, a laptop is a PC.. I think you mean desktop or laptop. In this case I would definitely choose desktop for gaming.

Unless you're going to a friends house to play games with it frequently, i'd get a desktop PC. But if you do need that portability, then a laptop is a great OPTION. There are small PC cases you can get, so keep them in mind too.

Even for that you could build a SFF and get tones of performance in a Small easy to pick around

Yeah, but a cube case doesn't fit in a backpack with clothes and homework. Laptops do :P

Desktop PC all the way. I think a better way to choose would not be to try and spend $1500-200, but rather to figure out what games you want to play and then budget your money out so you can afford the parts that will play those games. If you want to know about parts then you can ask on here and we can help you pick what parts are better so you don't have to spend all that money because the vast majority of gamers don't need to spend $1500 on a PC to play games.

I get 60 frames at 1080p on a dual core APU. Ask me how.

Desktop. I have a Zalman Z9 as a case and I can still carry it around. Most people have a spare monitor at their house, so you don't have to carry your own one.

Desktop if you are going to commit to pc gaming. You can play more games, better graphics, upgrading. Even going to lan parties isn't that big problem if you build mATX/ITX machine. Laptop if you play mainly lower performance games like LoL, WoW and Dota2. Even CSGO fits onto that category.

For 1500 you could get a laptop for office work and a desktop for gaming. That's the route I went. Also gaming laptops tend to have short battery life compared to regular laptop so if really on the go that would be annoying.

And a gaming desktop can be fairly cheap and still give you nice performance are 1080p.

if you want the portability of a laptop, I'd suggest you spend a bulk of your money on a gaming desktop, then just buy a cheap notebook like a Chrome book. it's what I dk
