Where I live in the US gas is usually right around $3.50 a gallon.

California. Around $4.00 for "Cheap gas" and $4.25 for the more expensive stuff.

Everyone drives Prius's though.

It used to be worse but 1,55€/litre germany. Will do the math and edit the post with dollar/gallon.

 

Can't wait for someone from turkey to show up and present us what horrendous prices they pay.

This also explains why muscle cars aren't a thing over here. and everyone drives 2000 ccm diesels.

£1.30 per litre so it is about $9.80 per gallon in the UK :/

Nah, we count our salary on a monthly basis, so 400$ per month is the national average. But bare in mind that expenses here are the same as in Germany (except rent, it's cheaper here). So food and goods cost the same (electronics cheaper in Germany) and once you pay all the bills you are left with 150$.

We're complaining about high prices and taxes but if you knew how "easy" Americans have it having to go into a crippling debt to go to university or get your broken leg fixed up.

or £5.03 / $8.39 in the UK for 18-20
