[U.S.] 4tb WD harddrive $129 usd?

Frys.com in the U.S. has a 4tb internal hard drive for $129.... sounds pretty cheap but im not really up on what they go for

the email add from the retailer doesnt denote which type of drive or what rpm or anything so most likely the slowest of them

but it does show that it is sata3 6gps

Yeah it's a pretty attractive price :) Not like when they used to be $200+ for 4TB

 

EDIT-just checked NCIX also has the WD green 4TB at the same price...and greens are so sloooow.....

I would be hesitant to use a green drive in raid0, too many failures not to have redundancy IMO.

 

Two of these in Raid1 in one of those cheap dual bay NAS devices would be pretty slick.

or at that price you could run a 6-8 bay server lol but unreliability would be an issue
