So i ran into a issue when gathering all my parts

Naeem

so i havent bought anything yet but i am on the edge of buying my parts and i have a:

asus sabertooth 990fx ( yes im going amd)

and my ram is going to be: corsair 2x4gb ddr3 pc19200 CL11, Vengeance pro

but i noticed my motherboard in the discription says:

Memory: 4x pc8500/10666/12800/14928 DDR3 (Max 32gb)

is this going to be an issue since my ram is PC19200?

sorry if it sounds retarded i have no knowledge of this what so ever.

if you know better ram or this just isnt compatable and have a different ram for me please let me know!

I prefer 8gb 1x8 or 2x4 since i wont be upgrading beyond 16gb anyway good for gaming.

The "PC" number refers to its speed, so it shouldn't be an issue, the RAM will just run at a lower speed. I believe that RAM is set to 1600MHz by default, so if you don't change it then it will run at that speed anyway.

Take a look a this:

That Mother board supports DDR3 1866/1600/1333/1066 Ram. so what is that memory? is it DDR3 1866 , 1600, 1333 or 1066? If so, then you have nothing at all to worry about bud.

I agree with this.

Well, PC19200, should be PC3-19200, denoting it's DDR3 RAM. Aside from that, PC3-19200 converts over to DDR3-2,400MHz.

For reference... You're not supposed to combine PCx, and DDRx ratings. Generally though, PCx wil convert over to DDRx when divided by 8. PC1 would be DDR, PC2, is DDR2, and obviously PC3 by way of logic, is DDR3.
