In terms of just raw performance.

A 780ti. They have the same amount of cuda cores. The only difference is the titan has a few more features and 6gb vram

in fact the standard ''vanilla'' GTX Titan sits closer to the 780ti...the 780ti is a fully enabled GK110 GPU (2880 cuda cores), the titan has 1 SMX unit (out of 15) disabled (2688 cuda cores) and the GTX 780 has 3 SMX unit disabled (2304 cuda cores)...

Each GK110 GPU is made of 15 SMX unit containing 192 cuda cores each, unperfect GK110 GPUs are downgraded to 780 and defective SMX units get disabled at the factory, the GTX 780 has 12/15 SMX enabled and the Titan has 14/15.

Perfect GK110 GPU's (15/15SMX units enabled = 2880 cuda cores) are found in GTX 780ti, GTX Titan Black and Quadro K6000 Graphics cards.

Keep in mind that the rumors we had for the GTX 790 ended up turning into a Titan Z.

 

They're very similar, 780's and titans.

 

The titan black is like a 780 ti, and a titan is like a 780
