Dual 780 ti enough for 1440p?

SenorGotchya

Hey guys! After watching the video for the new Asus RoG swift I've pretty much decided that'll be the monitor I upgrade to. Currently I have one gtx 780 ti and planning on getting a second one along with the new monitor ( whenever those things are in stock lol ).My question is, whether or not 2 780 ti's will be enough for 1440p on current and certain upcoming games ( dragon age, witcher 3, etc.) and with high-ish settings? I've tried looking for some threads similar to this but havent really found anything solid.

Get a 290x instead for better FPS as the VRAM does alot

Emmh... Maybe consider killing yourself before you talk to me?

Hell yeah, and Stick with Two 780Ti, Yes 2x290 will do well too at 1440p, but are not as powerful as the 780Ti's

OP didn't ask for your GPU brand opinion, and if you're going to suggest a 290x actually suggest it as an option instead of the way you did it.

A single 780TI should be enough for 1440p.

Dual 780Ti sould be enough for 144Hz 1440p.

Also G-Sync will make things super smooth so even if you are not getting a constant 144fps you should still be getting a better experience.

The gtx 780ti raw power could easily max out most if not all games but for higher resolution displays and whatnot what's important it's the vram of the card and also memory bandwidth bus.

Dual 780ti would easily handle any game a 4k.
For 1440p a single 780ti is more than enough.
