At what stage was it declined? Did you have to put in a password through your bank/online banking?

Sometimes if you spend too much money at the same time the bank will block it because they think someone stole your card.

Could your bank be declining the order due to the high amount of money that would be transferred in the transaction? Ring your bank and check.

No limit unless you imposed one yourself

has the card expired?

call the bank, perhaps you failed security check/needs authrosation

Is there enough in the account?

Also, are you sure you are not paying with a horse

Sometimes banks like Wells Fargo will limit the amount of money you can spend at a time or will auto-deny payments via internet for various security reasons - but that depends on what kind of account you have with them.

its a child account or something, my mom was there to help set it up

I think debit card means how much money you put into to the card to spend not max amount of money to charged to debit card, that would be credit card.

Credit Card: Spend how much you want until you reach to max amount that you can spend.

Debit Card: Spend how much you put in the card.

i understand but i have more than 300$ in my checking account, which is more than enough for what im trying to buy

At what stage was it declined? Did you have to put in a password through your bank/online banking?

i placed the order with amazon like normal and 15 minutes later amazon says my card was declined and asked me if i wanted to retry

the card is good til next year and there is enough on the card

I don't think that's the case. It's probably denying it for security reasons. Just call the bank or have your mum call the bank and have them allow internet transactions.
