taking mechanical keybaord to school with laptop?

do you guys do it? i really hate typing on my laptop after getting used to my mechanical keyboard, and was wondering if i would look like a pretentious douche by taking my shine 3 with me to school.

Dunno, some people might get annoyed by the sound. And no, I don't do it, I'm perfectly fine with my low-profile keyboard. Plus, an external one would be 1.5x bigger and weigh about a half of what my laptop is, so no, for me it's totally impractical.

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

I wouldnt take it. Seems that it would get annoiying. Just use your laptop keyboard and save some space

Some will be annoyed, some would have an eargasm. But yeah I kind of agree that annoying those around you with a mechanical keyboard may not be the best way to make friends and influence people.

With no offence it's not necessary and will look stupid, attracting attention. I don't see how bad your keyboard in the laptop you have would be so bad, or how you can't use anything but a mech. My laptops keyboard reminds me of mechanical keyboards (i have a mx blue)

While this sounds utterly ridiculous, why not :P

 

I felt crazy taking in my own monitors keyboard mouse and chair to work after being there like 1 week :P but now nobody really cares

 

the first time you do it everyone will be like "dude wtf" and then they will forget about it

 

That said I actually do not find typign on mech that much faster (though it is nicer) and dont mind typing on membrane or laptops keyboards

I've considered it but it seems like a hassle. That keyboard would get broken over your head since you have blue switches. Not worth it over just a regular laptop keyboard.

I doubt anyone would want to steal your keyboard, most of them probably couldn't tell the difference between a $5 Microsoft membrane POS and a glorious Ducky Shine 3.
