New PC for Parents CM N200

Punished07

My parents have had an old P4 Dell since around 2000 - 2001 and i finally convinced them they needed an upgrade. The system i put together for them is in no way a power house but it will serve its purpose. My mother does picture editing occasionally and plays Zuma and my dad just uses it for email and general internet use.

Parts List:

Case - Cooler Master N200

MB - Asus M5A78L-M LX Plus

CPU - AMD FX4300

           Cooler Master Hyper 212+

PSU - Corsair CX500M

HDD - 1TB WB Black

GPU - EVGA 9800GT 1GB   ( I had this laying around and didn't see the point in buying a better card for what this system will be used for)

RAM - 8GB (2x4) Crucial Ballistix Sport 1333

          Lite On DVD/CD burner

          Sabrent 68-in-1 card reader

120mm Cooler Master Blue LED Case Fan

A few shots with everything installed.

This is why I chose to get an additional case fan. I moved the stock exhaust fan to the front to have an additional intake for positive pressure.

From the front.

The case wasn't that bad to build in considering it is only $50. The sheet mental is thin but it is reinforced with bends in crimping where it counts. The only thing that would make it just a little better would be more space behind the mother board for cable management. The case would make a great LAN rig, it has nice airflow and would be easy to mod with a couple handles on the ends or one the length of the case.

The build looks good - should certainly last them a bit of time.

I went with the CM Hyper 212+ because the system will be in a cabinet .

I must say the N200 looks like a really good option for a budget build with elegant looks :).

You can't play Crysis 3 at a decent framerate/settings on a 9800GT :p

Nice build man! It's a shame that your parents won't be able to appreciate proper cable management :3 (Or at least I think that they won't, I could be wrong)

Linus posted his video review of the case a couple days ago.

He says in the video that you can't rout the 24 pin behind the motherboard tray but as you can see I did. That's not to say that its a very tight fit though. He also mentioned the HDD mounting cage and that it can be removed. In fact it can but also has two different mounting options. In his video it is in the stock position closer to the front, I moved it back to the second position. After watching the review i'm almost positive it would be possible to mount two 120mm fans behind the front bezel in order to achieve push pull with a 240mm radiator in the front.

why not apu?

Honestly its because the FX4300 in the system came out of my system and I upgraded. That and I had the 9800gt that wasn't doing anything and I figured it would more than serve this purpose.
