Very vague question.

Performance + Silence?

Noiseblocker

Gentle Typhoon's

Noctua

BeQuiet

Corsair

Cougar

Silverstone

All great companies, all have bad and good designs.

What are you using the fans for?

okay this is pretty easy, Noctua. They are so over engineered its incredible the only problem with them is the colour scheme.

By the way, go easy Grammar Nazis I'm dyslexic;'#';[p#'; (I'm pretty sure a full stop should go there somewhere :D)

Plenty of better fans currently on the market.

Best fans for performance?

Delta.

They're expensive though considering you should probably order a good set of earcups with them.  Like the ones you'd use with a lawnmower.

Noctua NF-F12 > Scythe GT > NoiseBlocker e-loops > Corsiar sp120

They're all the fans i'd buy for best performance to silence ratio :)

This! I have a 60mm Delta fan that moves more air than a lot of the above referenced 120mm fans.

i just recently upgraded from my aerocool shark fans, wich looks amazing, but they where to loud for my taste, at least when you kinde working your pc :p I went with the corsair AF quiet editions and they are just perfect. They don't have leds but they are silent and give a good amount of air. Everybody seems to love noctua, but i think they are just to ugly unless you have a white case. I reccomend the corsair AF's , if you want really cool design and do not mind any noise then i do recommend the aerocool shark fans. They are awesome, and i'm planning to use them some day again, when fans in my  case are just for looks.

I've tried quite a few brands over the last year trying to make my computer as silent as possible. I've settled on Be Quiet fan's/coolers. I think they look great and perform very well. The Silent Wings 2 fans are absolutely fantastic IMO.

Performance and Noise wise

For a Rad (dense)

Scythe Gentle Typhoons, Corsair SP 120's, Silverstone AP121's, and NoiseBlocker e-Loops in push.

For just moving air (through fan filter)

Prolimatech Blue or Red vortex fans, Phobya G-Silent, Noctua NF-F12, Fractal Design SSR2 fans

There are other fans that are just as good that ive probably forgotten or left out, but if i had the choice these are the fans id be going for.
