Ok.. Hold on, hold on, hold on...

Sierra made the first half life games. That video was quite the cold one and HL3 is supposed to be set in the arctic...

COULD IT BE??

Not correct - Sierra PUBLISHED Half-Life. They had no part in actually making it. That was Valve - through and through. Also, with Half-Life 2, there was a big legal battle because Valve released steam and wanted to bypass the publisher all together. Now Valve is their own publisher, so it's extremely unlikely that Sierra would be involved anymore. What could they bring to the table that valve doesn't already have? Money? Nope, Valve is SWIMMING in money. Distribution? Nope, Valve primarily uses Steam now, and can release their own products to Retail without any help as well.

With that in mind, Sierra was involved in some of the best games of all time - but they've generally always been the Publisher to those games. Homeworld - Relic deveoped it and Sierra Published. Half-Life - Valve developed and Sierra Published, etc.

Still, their name could be attached to a lot of products, and Activision owns the rights to a TON of IP, so they may just use the name to help drive sales and/or attention to an old IP that would be revived.
