Hi everyone,

First time poster here.

I'm looking for a new case for my computer and would like some recommendations on what to do. I currently have the following:

CPU: i5-4440

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z87-HD3

RAM: Kingston 8GB Kit

GPU: Gigabyte  Nvidia 560Ti 1GB

PSU: Coolermaster 700W Extreme Power (or something)

SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 128GB

HDD: 2TB Seagate

I do have 2 DVD drives but they don't have to be in the new case, I'm considering going without an ODD or getting and internal Blu-Ray drive. I do have an external DVD writer should I decide to go without any internal ODD.

I live in Australia and temperatures can get rather warm (mid 30s and over), I'm slightly concerned about airflow and keeping temperatures down but the only game that will push my computer is probably FIFA 15 when it comes out next month. Otherwise I'm just playing CS:S and TF2. I have no plans to play other graphically intensive games and won't (can't) overclock but want to keep temperatures as cool as possible during the summer months, but don't want to do anything excessive.

I do want a case that isn't going to be too loud, and should be relatively easy to clean. I currently have a Coolermaster Centurion 5 which can be a bit of a hassle.

I've looked at a lot of videos and reviews, and on my shortlist currently are the Define R4, the NZXT H440 and the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe.

With the R4/H440, I'm worried about the airflow being potentially limited with the vents, but I am willing to get more cooling stuff to keep temps down. The Luxe, while slightly bigger than I'd like it to be, has lights and has me very interested if I can justify paying the extra shipping to my state ($210 AUD incl. shipping).

Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

I would recommend the NZXT Phantom 630 ($190 AUD). It's got great cooling with 3 included 200 mm fans and one 140 mm fan. More fans can be added, as well a variety of options for watercooling.

The Corsair Obsidian 750D ($210 AUD) is also a great case, but doesn't look as good as the Phantom 630 (my opinion). The 750D is also quite big, which means plenty of room for airflow.

However, if you want a case for pure air cooling bliss, I would suggest Corsair Carbide Air 540 ($190 AUD). It's a bit bulky, but has brilliant airflow; direct front to back uninterrupted airflow.

Fractal design Arc mini r2, silverstone raven 5, corsair 450D, phanteks enthoo pro would be my recommendations. Hardware canucks have reviews for all of them, and linus has reviews for all but the raven.

phanteks enthoo pro or lux! i have the corsair 750d but i would prefer the phanteks!

Enthoo luxe

Thanks for all the suggestions so far, interesting no one seemed to suggest the R4/H440 like I've seen in most other posts. Will definitely check out all the recommendations and see what suits my needs best. The Luxe is probably on top of my list at the moment, but anything's still possible for now.

Upgrade the PSU. Don't run expensive hardware on garbage.

Noted. I wasn't as into computer stuff when I bought the PSU a year or two ago, my thought process back then was "my case is CM, why not get a CM PSU". Will probably get something better in the next year or so when I have more money. Any suggestions? The current build I have in the first post will probably be used for 5 years or so, except for maybe the GPU as it was a hand-me-down. I have no plans to SLI/Crossfire.

Thanks all, keep the suggestions coming!!
