What is your favorite brand of GPU?

Cokeman

Now I know what your think about this from the title but I'm not asking which brand as in AMD or Nvidia. Im talking about the companies that make these cards like, EVGA, Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, Sapphire, etc. Mine personally is EVGA their cards look so elegant. So what is your favorite brand of GPU?

Heres an Example of what I'm talking about EVGA looking more elegant. Here's an EVGA GTX 780 and an Asus GTX 780

Well the only brand I have ever owned is palit and I think its great. My card was cheap compared to the other brands, stays cool, stays relatively quiet and looks better than any other brand. So yeah, Palit.

I've only ever had MSI, and I've found their GPU's fine, so I'll say MSI. EVGA is well regarded, and if I were to change from MSI it would probably be EVGA. Their great customer service makes me feel like I'm in safe hands.

I'd say EVGA for Nvidia and Sapphire for AMD.

I currently have MSI, their good, but I like EVGA/Sapphire more.

Well, I've only ever bought EVGA (mainly because that's all that best buy had when I got my first) and I thought it was good so I've kept with them. Only on my second gpu so far.

For my next though, I'll probably go with gigabyte since it'll match my motherboard. Pointless yes, but I like to have things match.

I only have a Gigbyte GPU so I'll say Gigabyte because it has great cooling and the highest factory clocks since I haven't looked into overclocking but if I buy an AMD card, Saphire looks really good.

I feel like Sapphire is overrated. They're good but not fucking balls to the walls amazing. I personally think EVGA is the best. If only they made coolers for AMD too...

I ve used a lot of brands over the years & had cards die from reputable companys so I judge them differently.

By quality, cooling, OC'ing, size, and how they're customer service, rma, warranty's, & how fast they respond back to emails(tickets).

The Good

nvidia

EVGA: Best quality & customer service (respond back to emails within 1 hour), but usually costs a little extra, OC'ing is great

MSI: Great quality, customer service is good but they make mistakes a lot (sent me broken replacement card), MSI cards I used always OC'd the best :D , No more than 3 hour response time on rma (tickets)

Asus: Great quality, customer service never used(but heard they're good from freinds), OC'ing is pretty good

Zotac: surprisingly Great quality, customer service (never used),  OC'ing is good, but cooling was amazing :D , size always small, but color's orange & black

Amd

MSI: Great quality, customer service is good but they make mistakes a lot, MSI cards I used always OC'd the best :D , No more than 3 hour response time on rma (tickets)

Asus: Great quality, customer service never used (but heard they're good from freinds), OC'ing is pretty good

Gigabyte: Good quality (fans life span wasn't the best), customer service good (replacement arrived within a week), OC'ing average, cooling ok

The Bad

XFX: Mixed quality (had 1 great card & 1 horrendous card), the worst customer service (1 week to respond to tickets [took 3 weeks of emailing back & forth] rma delivered in 3 weeks, guy giving incorrect information, given the run around), OC'ing is ok, cooling was also ok

The Ugly

HIS: Bad quality, high failure rate, customer service ok(but 1 month delivery time horrible), OC'ing none & cooling bad

Powercolor: Bad quality, high failure rate, customer service bad (didn't speak english also shipped from china 7 weeks to deliver), OC- try underclocking & cooling horrible

My first card was a Diamond Viper something or other. It was my introduction to computer gaming. This was in the days of Rainbow Six Rogue Spear and Unreal Tournament. I then disappeared from computer gaming for a long time after joining the military and serving in the Infantry where I never had a chance to do any computer gaming.

My reintroduction to computer gaming was a PNY GTX 550TI, and I had no real problems with the card, although I didn't use it or abuse it enough to really critique it or PNY.

My current card is an MSI Twin Frozr R9 280x and I love this card. It was an awesome value and is a beast for playing BF4 considering what I payed for it. No problems with the card so far and temperatures are good even after some marathon gaming sessions.

I have no real preference right now, although EVGA seems to make the best looking cards. I generally like to support underdog companies to an extent.

How did you come to the conclusion that HIS/Powercolor had high failure rates?

I would recommend EVGA over Asus. The ACX cooler is a bit louder and performs the same as the DCUII, but where EVGA shines is their warranty. Holy balls. They answered every question thoroughly and it only took like an hour to answer each question. A+ for their support.

Iunno about reviews. It is often the vocal minority that we see express themselves. Those that had no problems are not often do not post reviews that their products work (duh) its those that have issues that will post reviews of problems. Hence them being the vocal minority. After all its always possible to just get a bad card that occurs once every million.
