Cheapest games on steam that i can put some hours into

JohhCheese

You really should give people an idea of the types of games you like to play and also have you looked at the free to play options?  There definitely are games there that you can put some hours into and maybe your entire life into. LOL

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

I'm playing rogue legacy right now, it's $15, I bought it on sale though. FTL is great and can be found for $10 normally and goes on sale often.

What are some really cheap games on steam that are really good, and i can put some hours into? Roughly below £5.

Generally older games can be had cheap on steam. I can't think of anything off the top of my head, but games that are a couple of years old tend to go cheap. If you can wait, there should be a couple more steam sales coming up (particularly the winter/holiday season sale) where you can grab some epic deals.

If you engage in game trading you'll have a lot of options.

I just got Burnout Paradise - The Ultimate Box for 1 TF2 Key. It's worth $20 in the store I think and I've read positive reviews about it. Looking forward to playing it myself...when I get a GPU

You can bark like a dog, but that won't make you a dog.

You can act like someone you're not, but that won't change who you are.

Finished Crysis without a discrete GPU,15 FPS average, and a lot of heart

How I plan my builds -

Spoiler

For me I start with the "There's no way I'm not gonna spend $1,000 on a system."

Followed by the "Wow I need to buy the OS for a $100!?"

Then "Let's start with the 'best budget GPU' and 'best budget CPU' that actually fits what I think is my budget."

Realizing my budget is a lot less, I work my way to "I think these new games will run on a cheap ass CPU."

Then end with "The new parts launching next year is probably gonna be better and faster for the same price so I'll just buy next year."

State of Decay and the two DLC's Breakdown/Lifeline.  They're on sale right now on Steam until Friday for 66% off.   Loads of fun with those.
