Browsing around Ikea and this caught my eye. I can't really have a "slanted" desk since my desk right now is aligned at the wall and I don't really want to move things around. Does anyone have any other desk I should take a look at? My budget is around 170 USD

This table top with legs from the store.

Totally it cost me $50 or $60.

Wonderful for me.

EDIT: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70217973/

Were the legs.

Thinking about it I'm pretty sure it costed $50 not $60

I had a computer.. and then I let FedEx ship it.

Cheap is good sometimes.  This thing has lasted my son and I a very long time.  The only thing i will say though is it was a gift and the person buying it didn't realize the keyboard tray is a bit small for gamers which we are.

OP if you are not a gamer and have this store near you I recommend it.  You also would spend way less money than you are looking at spending right now.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

It is not sturdy at all.

Seems like you haven't used one. Great biased opinion M8.

LINNMON/ADILS table is the way forward :) I have one with 2 SIGNUM cable brackets to hide all of the cables away. As for you you could get the following instead: 1x LINNMON Table top , 2x ADILS Leg then either 1x ALEX Storage unit or 1x ALEX drawer unit. Lastly if you want to keep your cables tidy you could grab 1x SIGNUM cable bracket.

This is what my desk looks like:

Pretty sturdy. As long as you don't plan on ramming into it with your chair like a psycho then it will be fine xD

I haven't had problems with it. You can wiggle the desk back and forth, if you're really aggressive and you can beat it up and if you slam the desk it'll budge.

However it isn't going to be as study as a solid wood desk.

I had a computer.. and then I let FedEx ship it.

any sort of shaking when typing or leaning forward on it?

Like @Gulrok mentioned it is sturdy enough as long as you don't deliberately try to move it around and when typing, gaming and sometimes raging I haven't really noticed it move too much if at all. Obviously it would be more sturdy if you got some of the other legs than ADILS or added a drawer/storage unit at one of the sides.

How do you define not sturdy? Does your mouse go through it when pressing the scroll wheel?
