Laptop almost unusuably slow

Trollzarz

Hi,

So this is about the third topic I have made about the speed of my laptop. Now it is almost unusable. It takes me 30+ Seconds to open basic things. Here is an example: (currently uploading, but when I right click on the network icon then go to network and sharing center it takes 30+ Seconds)

Is there any reason this could be happening?

Thanks

Throw it on the ground.

But no seriously, I would say virus... but I don't know a ton about that stuff. Do you run any cleaner programs such as advanced system care?

The free version is great:

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Please post the specs of the laptop.

For starters, try checking the RAM usage using task manager...

On the possibility it is a virus, I'd suggest showing us a list of processes running in task manager; if you don't know enough about unusual processes that is. How old is this laptop?

You gotta do you girl. I always say you gotta do you. And if he's doing him, then who's doing you? Because right now, it seems like no one's doing you.

There seems to be plenty of RAM... Do you hear any clicking noises from the HDD?

Also, try to do a virus sweep and defrag (if there are no clicking noises)...

Nothing odd there, laptop is about 4 years old. My hard drive is often at 100%.

Hundred precent capacity? Also considering its age it's probably the HDD.
