probably isn't supported by mac, or the card doesn't support mac, or both!

did you make sure to plug in the sata power connector?

if it needed one, that is.

According to the customer reviews for all the mac pro cards on their website, it seems to be plug and play (you need to restart your computer of course, but if you installed it when it was running, that could be a small problem)

 

 

If worse comes to worse, you could always, you know, set up a fan, crumple up some paper and play paper toss
