So I just set up my PC, I haven't touched the voltage, core clock, or RAM frequency. I dont know what it is caused by or if its normal. My mother board is a z87-g41 PC mate on the stock BIOS.

so whats is this and can i fix it??

CPU: Pentium G3258 OC 4.0GHz MOBO: MSI Z87-G41 PC MATE GPU: ASUS Strix Gtx-750Ti 2Gb RAM: 2x4Gb ADATA XPGv2 @ 1866Mhz PSU: EVGA 500B HDD: 500Gb WD Scorpio Black, 1Tb WD Blue

I am to lazy to update this, but not to lazy to strike it out and write this.

It's power savings, so it downclocks when it's not doing anything.

This is normal. When a CPU is not being used it will lower its clock speed. When it is under load it will increase.

This saves power, heat, and makes it last longer.

Energy saving feature - lowers the speed & voltage to save power when it's not doing much. As soon as you start doing something which requires your processor's full capability, it will go back up to your original speed.

Also, lower speed & voltage = less heat.

Intel SpeedStep. it's normal. So it slows down a bit to save energy. It also lowers the voltage, and lowers heat.
