Random crashes on new rig, Ram or CPU?

Just put together a new rig, had a 7950 for a few days but that has come out due to being faulty so I am using HD4000 graphics on the i7 3770. A few times a day this happens (see pic, note: this is not my screenshot but exactly what happens, locks up and sound distorts), so far its locked up watching youtube, reading forums and using VCL. Ive just upped the dedicated Vram to see if that helps but I don't think it matters, according to GPU-Z it doesn't use the dedicated ram anyway and just uses shared ram up to whatever it needs, most i've seen is near 700mb running unigenvalley.

Since this never happened when using the 7950 it is either the IGPU or my ram since it uses the ram. I have updated the hd4000 drivers to the latest ones and still no joy, is there anyway to test if I have a bad stick of ram. Ive searched elsewhere some say its HD4000 driver issues and some ram issues, anyone else get this problem on intel HD graphics or a dedicated card for that matter.

Any idea's?

Thanks

Intel HD graphics drivers causes bluescreens and random bugs to happen on different rigs all the time, my laptop is totally unstable if I install one of the latest HD graphics drivers. (using drivers from 2012 because of that)

yeah, looks like a graphics issue, update your intel graphics drivers and sometimes using a different monitor can help, dont know why but it fixed it for me once.

Looks like faulty graphics, you can try updating the drivers.

Ive tried 3 versions now, ones off the motherboard CD, 2013 oct from GIgabtye website and the latest 2014 from intel site, same issue.

Are you guys saying the IGPU on the CPU could be faulty or is it just the drivers are crap with bad compatibility.

Be getting a dedicated gpu again in few weeks, just would like to watch a movie or two without this happening in the mean time.

Definitely a driver issue, try previous versions.
