My brother helped me tow my car up to get fixed today, and he had to stop by Lowes. Couldn't resist the temptation (besides, my old one broke, and I need one for my current projects).

I've been wanting one of those Qisan keyboards for about a year now.

As for the USB card and the WiFi adapter, that's for the computer I'm building for my mom.

 

 

Got a hard drive and monitor for my mom on eBay.  Both work great.

The sticker set is because I took the old ones off my gaming laptop... kinda wish I didn't (don't know why I did in the first place) cause I kinda like case badges.

 

I'm trying to find one for my Gigabyte 780 also, having no luck.

What about a Qisan keyboard interests you?    I'm not familiar with that brand.  

 

Does your mom need extra USB ports?    I guess I thought most motherboards already have a decent amount between the front and rear I/O ports.

Yeah, my Asus board I'm giving her only comes with 4 ports.  

As for the Qisan keyboard, it's a mechanical keyboard, Linus covered it in a recent video.

 

They come with blue, black, and brown switches.

I love blue switches the most, as I love the tactile feedback and clicky sound.

But I'll be using this one at college, and from what I've read, brown switches still have the tactile feedback, but no clicky sound.  Where as black switches have neither.

I'm willing to give up the clicky sound, but not the feedback.

I've seen mx blue switch keyboards at Best Buy.  Part of me liked the clicky sound but overall I'd prefer the brown for the reasons your mention.  I want that "yes the key has been triggered" feedback but without the loud sound that might get distracting or annoying after a while.

 

I'm probably going to get a Corsair K70 lux but I haven't felt like spending the money on it yet.  Amazon keeps playing yo yo with the price anyway.  Up and down every so often.

Do you do video chat with friends?  Or is it for when streaming games?

 

Is the Bluetooth for your keyboard and mouse or something else?

I use the camera to talk with some friends and I skype my dad.  (Funnily enough, I've been thinking of starting streaming, and this is a 1080p webcam).

Anyways, the bluetooth adapter is so I can use my Xbox One controller without needing a cable.

I did one of the design labs controllers, and this is after Microsoft did the updated Xbox One controllers to also have a headphone jack and bluetooth.

So the newer Xbox One controllers don't need the official MS Xbox One wireless adapter for PC?    They can also be used with any Bluetooth adapter?

Yep.  You just have to be on Windows 10 to use the bluetooth.

Dunno. The BT controllers used in certain production lines might just be shit from bad batches and MS isn't aware.

Hmm, haven't had any issues yet.

My roommate has the stock black controller with bluetooth.

Mine is custom from Microsoft.

My custom worked fine, ish. But my Dawn Shadow didn't work well with Win 8 or 10. Can't speak on my new Ocean Shadow, haven't used it yet.

That's nice.  Then I should have Bluetooth if I wanted to use it.  Though I have the adapter so guess I don't need to.

The controllers that came with the original xbox don't have built in headphone jacks.  Unless you bought it used, and that means whoever traded it in used the redesigned controllers.

The OG XBOne started shipping with newer controllers after a fair bit of bitching, prior to the release of the One S. It might have just been with set capacities though.
