Ethernet Splitter

Go to solution Solved by skywake,

Yeah, you need a switch. They're very cheap and the "quality" really doesn't matter much at all as long as its rated for the speed you want to use. The only reason you'd ever need a passive splitter would be if those three devices were along the lines of phones and modems. In which case a simple RJ45 splitter from the hardware will do the trick or just a xDSL filter which usually have it built in..... but I don't think that's what you meant.

Does anyone know if there is a high end 3- way Ethernet splitter? That allows all 3 devices to get connections at the same time?

I expect not. I just don't want to run 3 50 Foot Ethernet Wires across my house to get to my room.
