Hello, I am wondering if there is a problem with my CPU's temps on HWmonitor. I see it hitting 50-80 degrees in game but when I touch the steel on the Coooler Master 212 EVO it is so cold. I have reapplied my thermal paste three times so I know it's not a problem with that but what is wrong with this?

And second thing, my CPU fan is at 11% and is getting the same temps on idle as it would while at 100%, the difference is, is that it hits 98 degrees celcius while playing games which is FREAKING SCARY. While playing on 100% is 80-87 which is still FREAKING SCARY.

I have Haswell and for me HWMonitor shows bad temperatures for me too. I use AI Suite because of the Asus motherboard..

Most AMD CPUs don't work well with HWMonitor because of the sensors that they're using

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

AMD have sensor issues well known thing for them. Use something like real temp though. more accurate i find.

I've never had issues using Core Temp or RealTempGT.

Also, AMD chips are known to have temperature sensor issues. I'm not sure if you're particular chip is known to have those issues, though.

I have an AMD Athlon 760K and both of those never recognize it or it doesn't even get past the fact that I have Windows 8.1 and not Windows 7.
