I have owned three of them in my younger days. I love big solid cars and those were among my favourites. The last one was a Scorpio 3 litre in black. I would say that due to the age of these cars don't expect them to be fast by any means. Also the bodywork and undersides do rot on them. As for mechanical issues, not so much more than any other older car... though I do have a mechanic in the family :P

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.

well thanks for that i also got a mechanic in the family but its not like hes an expert at older american cars so yeah. about the rot i read way too much im really disappointed on one hand but on the other what did i expect of course they rot. maybe if i cleaned that up and applied a good amount of protection itll be less of a promblem. also i dont give a crap if it goes fast im not a racer im more of a cruiser. also the gas mileage worries me a little bit but i thought if got a lpg system installed at 72 cents a liter lpg is really a good option here. the biggest part that worries me is the availability of spare parts around here. if i go for the granada, i would use it as a daily driver and having to import some parts from th us for example everytime something breaks down is not an option. hmm i might rethink it now but i really love the nose and ass on the mk1
