Thoughs on Asus ROG mobos

Hello everyone, 

 

I am new to this forum as you can all tell, and I was wondering if any of you had any thoughts, or concearns about a mobo I just acquired. I bought an Asus ROG Maximus VI Hero, and this is the first mobo I have ever bought for the purpose of building a gaming pc. I did my research but I want to get real comments from ppl that have used them before, or worked with them. I apologize if my grammar is bad, English is my second language, so try not to rip me a "new one".

We're not going to tear you a new one...you have good idiomatic command of the language.

 

ROG motherboards are extremely high quality if a bit overpriced, however I would say the Hero is worth every penny. You made a good choice @Vash_327.

I have the Formula 6 and it is serving me well :). $300 but its worth the quality. ROG boards are well built and get alot of support even after a few years.

I'm also planning on pairing it with one of those 20th anny Intel g3258, but still a lil hesitant on what cooling to go with that its not ultra expensive, but I have room to oc when im ready to.

over priced motherboards with just a few special features not worth the price

Maximus VII Gene checking in here.

 

The ROG boards are fantastic quality and look great, although you pay a price premium for the name and the testing that asus does.

 

You will not be disappointed with your Hero. :)
