Won't boot! Only GPU fans spin, CPU and Case fans don

Go to solution Solved by Syntaxvgm,

Sounds like a power supply or motherboard problem to me, this usually happens when there is a short of some kind. Unplug the psu from the wall, and unplug the 24 pin and 8 pin from board, and 2 pins as well for the gpu. Leave it like that for a few minutes. Even if it works again it still may happen again due to psu.

My computer has been running fine for the past months, however, now i cannot startup. Whenever i power it on, only the GPU fan starts spinning. furiously. The CPU and case fans do not spin at all. It may be due to the previous day's Prime95 Blend test run, although the temperatures only reached a top of 60ish degrees.

i removed my GPU from the system and the same result. The CPU and case fans wont spin, but you can hear the humming of the HDD and SSD. I also moved the HDMI cable back into the motherboard', yet still no video output.

I have a hunch that it could be the PSU blowing up, considering it's fans never spun, even on startup, where it should have spun powerfully to remove dust, or even when it's getting steamy.

My Rig:
Motherboard: BM85-HD3
CPU: i5-4440
GPU: GIgabyte gtx770
PSU: Corsair AX860

Highlighting the text makes it harder to read

The most common result of insufficient wattage is a paperweight that looks like a PC

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Oh no problem  :D

And thanks for the thanks. A lot of people don't.

If it works now, they motherboard is likely fine.

The psu may or may not be, just keep an eye out for it happening again while gaming.
