"The E-Label Act was introduced yesterday is a push to make the FCC in favor of electronically tagging these devices, instead of physically writing on them. This would give OEMs more options on how to comply with the regulations set forth by the FCC other than just putting all these unnecessary stamps on the back. If this new legislation passes, the FCC information normally reserved for the back could be brought up on-screen like the IMEI, MEID and other crucial information already does."

 

So yay for possibly prettier devices? What do you guys think?

If I am honest, I knew there were logos there but I've never really paid any attention to them so makes no real difference to me however taking away unnecessary information on the outside of a device will be a good idea in the long run.

 

Europeans don't have this already, so i doesn't really make that big of a difference to me.

 

Strange, its on the back of my HTC One M7 and I live in the UK.

Main Machine:  16 inch MacBook Pro (2021), Apple M1 Pro (10 CPU, 16 GPU Core), 512GB SDD, 16GB RAM

You lucky bastard.  It's not on the outside of my current phone, but that's because mine has a removeable battery, but this is definitely an issue for sealed devices.

Maybe HTC are lazy and just put all of the logos on all of their devices :lol: I don't know but I don't mind them being there as I don't usually look at the back of my phone :P
