Why would you ever want a laptop for gaming

Plenty of us like to potato on the go, so having a laptop that can do its job as a mobile workstation + gaming is hardly a bad thing. Gaming laptops tend to be better built anyways and have some more premium features as well, which is nice to have if you don't want to compromise on a laptop that can do more than just start up minesweeper.

Harddrive and RAM are unreasonably slow, screen resolution is also terrible. A friend of mine has a very similar model to this, same screen res and it looks pretty damn bad. Especially since you generally sit closer to the screen when using a laptop.
The Y50 is definitely a better option.

>Gaming

>HP

Pick one. I wouldn't trust a company that has little value in their own name since they produce embarrassingly locked down low specced machines with proprietary components for their mainstream computers. When a company takes little value in their own brand name to stamp it on really crappy products in their catalog, I wouldn't give them the time of day since they don't respect the customer by not respecting themselves. A company does not actively make crappy computers on accident.

If you want a better notebook,. grab something from MSI, Sager/Clevo, Asus or Lenovo. Shoot, even Alienware notebooks are decent..
