Mid Tower That Will Fit an R9 290 Tri-X and 4+HDDs

jneffekt

I started a thread in the new builds section of the forum and I thought I would ask here as well since this is a question specifically for cases.

I was wondering if there were any mid towers that would provide enough space for an R9 290 Tri-X as well as be able to accommodate at least 4 HDDs

Most mid-tower cases can do that.

Almost all cases. Just make sure it's not mATX.

Really?, I've only been finding cases that require removing drive cages to allow enough room for the card.

Do you have any suggestions on ones that are best with air cooling?

But even with the cage, most cards will fit.

H440, R4, 450D, Arc Midi R2, 600T... the list goes on.

I believe that most of these cases only have clearances of about 290-295mm * with cages installed. Whereas the tri-x card is at 305mm if I'm not mistaken.

edit: Perhaps I should be looking at a different R9 290 with smaller dimensions...

In the h440 you can remove one hdd bay at a time so you will still have 5 usable even with the 290 installed

Ah did not know this, thanks. However I should have stated earlier that I require one optical drive, my apologies. I might be swayed to get an external drive if there are no other options though.
