GPU Drivers

I hear that you're supposed to remove the drivers of your old graphics card before you install a new one. Why is that? What happens if you don't?

They can conflict with each other and cause instability. I like to use this method when uninstalling/installing new graphics card drivers. It's the manual method and requires more time, but it's the sure way of knowing all the remaining files of the previous drivers are removed.

Because the drivers can interfere with each other and cause problems.

Even if there made by the same company they have different revisions of the software. But if there 2 different kinds say AMD and Nvidia that can cause huge issues.

Because having the wrong drivers for the card will make it not work properly, and possibly damage some components. You always want the correct matching driver for your GPU.
