"To make sure we are doing all the right things, I have instructed our marketing and customer care teams to double down their outreach effort to all potentially affected customers – current and past – who believe that they were inappropriately billed and/or paid for one of these Premium SMS services that they did not want or authorize – and provide refunds. This program is being launched in a few days"

-John Legere, CEO, T-Mobile

So it looks like the charges weren't added on there intentionally, which is a good thing I guess? Whether they were or weren't isn't the point here. The point here is that T-Mobile is providing refunds to those who were affected. If you went to Verizon, AT&T, or Sprint, none of them more than likely provide refunds for something like this. So again, even if T-Mobile did this intentionally, they're doing the right thing and refunding those people affected.

So, @TopWargamer, is he such a good guy after all?

Oh, and the answer to your question @Ryou-kun is yes. T-Mobile is still the good guy. They may make mistakes here and there, but they always make amends for them.

Hit up TMo support center and see if you are. You may want to look through your past bills and try to find one that was abnormally high. Find that and present it to TMo.

Due keep in mind that the refunding goes live in a few days according to Legere. So use this time to look through your past bills.

Yeah, honestly I haven't seen anything abnormal for the past 2 years. But money is money!

If you think about it, they could establish a new round of scams just as their company is bought out and whatshisname is replaced as CEO so there's that.

BTW, it wasn't Ryou-Kun's question. I wrote the piece.

At least it most likely won't affect the merger.
