Is this a good cheap gaming laptop?

DarkEnergy

My friend said he was looking to get a gaming laptop around 500-600$. The cheaper the better. He also said he wants it to be able to play games like crysis 3 on ultra. I'm like NOPE. It's sooo not going to happen. But I did find one laptop on amazon and I saw a crysis gameplay with it's graphics card. It's not the best brand, being Acer but it doesn't look to bad. What do you guys think? http://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspire-V5-552G-X852-15-6-Inch-Laptop/dp/B00FNPD1WG/ref=pd_sxp_f_pt

If you look in absolute terms, it sucks ass. For the money and considering it's a laptop eeehhhhhh maybe. He should really be building a desktop though. If he really needs something portable get a chrome book and build a desktop.

Your not going to find anything under 700 what will have good preformance and even then "good preformance " is used very lightly.

even the a10 for laptops isnt very good. i personally own an a10-6800k for my desktop and had an a10 laptop it was some sort of hp (got rid of it awhile ago). i would say go with the msi gt series notebooks or possibly even the razer blade notebooks. notebooks in general wont really run high in most games unless you spend a pretty penny on them otherwise i wish you the best of luck andddddd HAPPY 4TH!!!!!

No, you can build a desktop machine for gaming significantly cheaper than an eqivalent spec laptop.
