I've been getting ping spikes recently. like when playing a game or something (even happens while pinging google.com in command prompt) my ping would be at 20-30 then suddenly jump up to around 300. I have an Asus p8z77-v pro mobo connected through ethernet and running windows 8.1. I had this same problem around a year ago on windows 7. (I upgraded to windows 8.1 in hopes of removing some virus or something that may have been causing the problem, and that made it a bit better). I've ran malwarebytes, tried ccleaner, tried using a different ethernet cable, and re-installing drivers. The problem stopped in like february or march this year and started up again in the summer, so I guess the weather is a contributor to the promblem?

What's interesting though is that this seems to be triggered by installing programs like asus ai suite 2, evga precision x, or msi afterburner.

I've attached a picture of me pinging google.com using the cmd.

My stepfather manages the internet, and I don't have the user or pass. I've bothered him about this before and he always gets pissed so I really wanna try to avoid that lol. I use AT&T U-Verse if that matters.
