APU

Go to solution Solved by FireFox,

Looks reasonable :D since I don't have to change the mobo -_- I need to change the cpu at least the current one Athlone x2 255 I need something cheap and have good performance too

Which is why I've posted the Athlon II X4 750K, it is also unlocked so you should be able to go from the stock 3.4GHz to at least 4GHz without an issue though invest in a decent cooler first.

i3-4170, H81 board, 8GB DDR3, Crucial M4, GTX 770, Xigmatek Vangaurd Case, Creative Titanium X-fi, Razer Carcharias, 500w PSU, 24" VA panel and a 42" IPS. Thinking about getting a plant.

With 4GB of Ram @1333 Mhz and FM2+ Mobo

I want an APU that is capable of playing all released Games at 30+ FPS  with resolution 1366x768 .. Don't mind low setting

Is this a new system? or upgrading an existing?

Just wondering on your total budget to see if there is anything better we can build

How about an Athlon X4 750K and get a Radeon R7 something, I'm sure you'll get both of those at the same price and gaming would be better.

Not sure what country you are in but for comparison, this is the most expensive APU at £111

For a little extra at £122 you can get an Athlon II X4 750K and a Radeon R7 250X which will perform a lot better than the i-GPU.

Just my opinion of course :)

Temporary upgrade

Temporary for how long? chances are you are wasting money

I would look at what FireFox said

It is all a temporary upgrade mate, just some upgrades are a little longer than others.

About 6~7 months

I wouldn't bother with the APU mate, have a look at what I've posted before. With those you can probably select high settings since you're not at a very high resolution, games will look a lot better for pretty much the same price.

You could ignore the 250X and just get a normal 250 and save a little money and it would still be a better purchase than the APU.

It's on AM3+ which might be a problem depending on form factor, but otherwise yes largely the same.

it's AM3+ ready so I guess it's okay right ?

I'd be careful putting any FX CPU in that kind of board... you'll want at least a 4+2 Power phase that's heatsinked.

The cheapest OK board is the GA-78LMT-USB3 Rev5
